A name or location typed into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Rock Island County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own end.
Messages and emails
If a visitor emails us or sends a contact message, the message and reply details are kept long enough to respond and maintain the conversation. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data from Visits
Normal web delivery and analytics can record technical details when a page loads, including:
- IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring page, when supplied
- Visit timestamps

Links may lead to jail rosters, booking resources, Sheriff or corrections pages, court portals, federal locators, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves these pages, the destination’s privacy policy and terms control.
Some advertising partners may track activity across different sites for targeted advertising. That activity occurs on their systems, not in this policy’s pages.

Personal data is not sold by this site. It may be disclosed to the following service categories:
